Our Mason community and Cordovan community homeowners are celebrating the two year anniversary of being a part of two of the many dynamic neighbourhoods that make up East Van. Mason is located in the heart of the Trout Lake area near Commercial Drive, while Cordovan is located in the rapidly growing Railtown area.
East Van has always had an eclectic charm, from the stylish shops and antique stores of Main Street to the authentic Italian cafés on Commercial Drive. The growth of East Van has spurred an emerging foodie scene with new restaurants serving fresh, high quality dishes popping up all the time. A few of our favourite new East Van spots are:
KIN KAO. Located on The Drive, Kin Kao is a quaint Thai restaurant serving fresh, authentic dishes in a modern and bright space.
THE MACKENZIE ROOM. Voted by Georgia Straight readers as the top new restaurant for 2016 for the newspapers annual Golden Plate Awards, The Mackenzie Room, located in trendy Railtown, serves a seasonal menu based around locally sourced ingredients.
SAVIO VOLPE. Located in the friendly Fraserhood area, Italian restaurant Savio Volpe serves classic osteria-rustic fare and also features an extensive wine list and decadent desserts.
THE ACORN. This Main Street gem is an award winning vegetarian restaurant that serves creative, locally sourced dishes in an upscale room with a full bar.
